I am thrilled that my debut Young Adult thriller Stick or Twist has been getting attention for its fast-paced adventure along the River Thames. Writing this book has been an incredible journey, and I am proud to share a story that combines mystery, danger, and the thrill of survival. 

The story follows sixteen-year-old Niko, whose father is targeted by criminals over secret government testing on the Thames. With his friend Jacinta, Niko must flee downriver in a worn-out boat, racing against a gang while decoding clues that connect murder, pollution, and gravestones. It is a story of courage, quick thinking, and the fight to survive. I wanted it to be a page-turning experience that keeps readers on the edge of their seat. 

Before writing, I spent over two decades in publishing, but I took a leap of faith to become a GCSE English teacher, trading comfort for purpose. That decision has been deeply rewarding, and teaching continues to inspire me. Living near the River Thames gave me the perfect backdrop for this story, though I rarely dare to swim in it. My hope is that Stick or Twist entertains readers while showing the excitement and risks of adventure up close.
